In October 2023, the Maryland Stadium Authority Board of Directors approved a request from the President of Frostburg State University to proceed with the design, engineering, and construction of the Western Maryland Regional Sports Complex at Frostburg State University (FSU) - Athletic Field. The new athletic turf field is expected to be completed in Fall 2025.
FSU has committed to covering the full cost of this phase of the project, which is crucial to the region, by utilizing the $5 million in funds provided by the Governor’s Supplemental Budget.
