Chairman
Craig A. Thompson was nominated as Chairman of the Maryland Stadium Authority by Governor Wes Moore in February 2023 and confirmed by the Maryland State Senate in March 2023. Mr. Thompson is a well-known and experienced trial attorney and partner at Venable LLP and serves on the firm’s board. Through his litigation practice he has represented clients in state and federal courts across the country. He has also negotiated the resolution of numerous matters, developing an approach to the profession that is both assertive and respectful.
Leonard J. Attman was appointed as a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority on July 1, 2005. President of Attman Properties Company, Mr. Attman has more than four decades of experience in residential and commercial real estate development. His professional experience includes the development of apartment communities, individual home developments, shopping centers and a recreational park.

Joseph C. Bryce is a government relations specialist with Manis Canning in Annapolis. Prior to joining the firm, he served six years as Senior Policy and Legislative Advisor to Governor O’Malley. Mr. Bryce was the Associate Vice Chancellor for Government Relations at the University System of Maryland. He has also served as the Chief Legislative Officer for Governor Parris N. Glendening, the Chief of Staff to Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., and was an Associate at Covington & Burling.
William Cole was appointed as a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority on October 1, 2022. Mr. Cole is a Partner at Margrave Strategies, a Maryland-based economic development consulting firm. Prior to joining Margrave Strategies, he was the President & CEO of the Baltimore Development Corporation for five years and was the Associate Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the University of Baltimore for more than a decade. He also served a term in the Maryland House of Delegates and two terms in the Baltimore City Council. Cole is the Chairman of Cecil Bank and the immediate past Chair of the Baltimore Hotel Corporation and has lived in downtown Baltimore for more than 35 years.
Lee Coplan became a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority effective July 1, 2023. Mr. Coplan was a founding member and CEO of Hord Coplan Macht, the largest architecture, landscape architecture, interior design and planning firm based in the Baltimore area. The firm has a national practice with branch offices in Alexandria, Virginia, and Denver, Colorado, with a staff of more than 340 people. He retired from Hord Coplan Macht in March of 2023.
Ms. Hampshire-Cowan recently completed a 23-year tenure at Howard University which included serving as senior vice president and secretary, interim chief operating officer, and acting president. John P. Hussman was appointed as a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority in 2024. He is President of Hussman Strategic Advisors, an investment advisory firm, and Director of the Hussman Foundation, which is engaged in a broad range of philanthropic projects focused on research, education, global health, and community supports for vulnerable populations having urgent needs or significant disabilities. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, as well as a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University.
Maggie McIntosh first entered the Maryland House of Delegates in 1992 when she was appointed to fill a vacant position in Baltimore’s 42d District. She went on to serve 30 years in the General Assembly, including as the first woman House Majority Leader, Chair of the Environmental Matters Committee, and the first woman Chair of the Appropriations Committee before her retirement in December 2022.
Manervia W. Riddick became a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority effective July 1, 2009. Ms. Riddick is Senior Vice President for Business Development & Public Affairs at Strategic Solutions Center, Inc, a Washington area government and business support services consulting firm. She serves as SSC’s team leader on major energy services projects for national and international clients.
Before her retirement, Ms. Riddick was the Director of Public Affairs for Washington Gas.
Jodi C. Stanalonis was appointed to the Maryland Stadium Authority Board of Directors by Governor Larry Hogan in March 2016.
Ms. Stanalonis is the Chief Financial Officer of Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc., in California, MD. Sierra provides broad information technology, aviation logistics, software engineering and program management support to federal government, Department of Defense (DOD) and commercial organizations.
Justin Williams, was appointed to the Maryland Stadium Authority Board of Directors by Baltimore Mayor Brandon M. Scott. Justin Williams serves as Deputy Mayor for Community and Economic Development, a role where he oversees the policies and operations of city agencies responsible for neighborhood development and; revitalization, housing, planning, workforce development and tourism.
