Eric Johnson has been with the Authority since 2005, currently serving as Senior Vice President of the Authority’s Capital Project Division and managing both the Baltimore City 21st Century Schools Program and the Statewide Built to Learn School Construction Program.
Johnson is a construction manager with over 30 years of experience in management of large, diverse construction and development projects ranging up to $2.2 billion.
Completed projects for the Authority include: The Coppin State University Physical Education Complex, including the partial demolition and and adaptive reuse of an existing arena; The Baltimore Grand Prix; and the planning/design of Southern Maryland Stadium, a minor league ballpark in Waldorf, Maryland. Prior to joining the Authority, Johnson managed large projects that included: The Weinberg Center located at the University of Maryland Medical Center; Centerpoint, a mixed-use and historic preservation development in downtown Baltimore, Maryland; Ripken Stadium, a minor league ballpark complex in Aberdeen Maryland; and construction of New Town Elementary School in Baltimore County, Maryland.
Prior to 1990, Johnson worked in the securities industry, and graduated from the Community Colleges of Baltimore County and The New York Institute of Finance, with a concentration in Finance and Economics.
