project Summary
Phase 2 of Prince George’s County Public Schools Blueprint Schools Program aims to design, construct, and maintain eight (8) new schools throughout the county in an innovative way, using a collaborative public-private partnership (P3) model. Unlike Phase 1, which used traditional P3 funding sources, Phase 2 of the program includes State funding. The Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA), Interagency Commission on School Construction (IAC), Prince George's County Public Schools, and Prince George's County executed an MOU memorializing this transformative effort on July 23, 2024.
In September 2024, groundbreaking ceremonies were hosted by Prince George’s County Public Schools Blueprint Schools Program stakeholders and partners for Margaret Brent Elementary School (click here), Robert Frost K-8 School (click here), Templeton Elementary School at Kenmoor (click here), and Fairwood Elementary School (click here).
The projects are scheduled to be delivered over a four year period, with three staggered completion dates during the Phase 2 program's duration.
