Welcome to the Future of Largo: Building Our Civic Plaza Together!

Join us for a community gathering hosted by the Prince George’s County Economic Development team, the Maryland Stadium Authority, and the Mayson Dixon Group. We're ready to start shaping the design plan for Civic Plaza and we want your input.

Civic Plaza will be a vibrant, inclusive gathering space for Prince Georgians, located near the Wayne K. Curry Administration Building. The soon to be built space will cultivate a dynamic hub for residents and visitors alike, fostering a sense of community and connection right in the heart of Largo.

Before we design it, we want to hear from you! Be a part of shaping the future of Downtown Largo by participating in our upcoming forums to discuss the design and construction of this innovative space. Together, we'll explore how the Civic Plaza will serve as a focal point for gatherings, events, and local businesses, breathing new life into our suburban landscape.

Here's what to expect:

  • Engaging Discussions: Dive into the vision behind the Civic Plaza and share your insights on creating a vibrant, inclusive space for all.

  • Interactive Presentations: Get an exclusive look at the proposed plans and designs for the Plaza, designed to activate street life and enhance walkability and bikeability in our downtown area.

  • Community Input: Share your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions as we collaborate to build a Plaza that reflects the needs and desires of our diverse community.

  • Celebrating History: Learn about the significance of naming the Plaza after Wayne K. Curry, our county's first Black county executive, and honor his legacy as we embark on this transformative journey.

Together, let's pave the way for a brighter, more connected future for Largo. Mark your calendars and join us for an evening of inspiration, collaboration, and community building. We can't wait to see you there!
