Project C.O.R.E. or Creating Opportunities for Revitalization and Equity, means a new canvas for Baltimore, clearing the way for new green space, new affordable and mixed use housing, new and greater opportunities for small business owners to innovate and grow. The initiative will generate jobs, strengthen the partnership between the City of Baltimore and the State of Maryland and lead to safer, healthier and more attractive spaces for families to live and put down roots.

Under the terms of a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) between the Baltimore City Department of Housing and Community Development (the “City”) and the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (the “Department”), the Maryland Stadium Authority (the “MSA”) will oversee the demolition of blighted structures located throughout Baltimore City as part of Project C.O.R.E..
As part of the project, up to $75 million will be invested for demolition, stabilization and deconstruction of structures which have been jointly identified by the City and the Department. MSA had been procuring contracts for the work.
