Crownsville Hospital Center Campus Assessment Study

study summary

In 2017, the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) submitted a request for the Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) to complete an assessment study of the Crownsville Hospital Center Campus site.

The proposed study would be performed in two phases. Phase I is a due diligence effort to assess the conditions and constraints of the existing site. Phase II would utilize the information from the reports obtained in Phase I to conduct a Request for Information (RFI) process seeking the private sector’s interest in developing the site.

The total estimated cost of Phase I study is $1,413,000. MDH is allocating $400,000 to begin the assessment. MDH understands that additional funding would be needed to complete the full assessment and would update available funds as the procurement efforts determine the actual costs of services.

Announcements by the MDH and the MSA when the agreement is finalized and the assessment study is scheduled to begin will be made when appropriate.
