Project Summary:

Phase I

In February 2012, the Maryland-National Capital Parks and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) requested the Maryland Stadium Authority (MSA) to perform a market and economic study to identify the potential impact of constructing a lacrosse stadium to host the professional Chesapeake Bayhawks MLL franchise and constructing a youth sports complex adjacent to the stadium to accommodate amateur leagues and tournaments.
The cost of the study was split between the MSA and the Bayhawks. The study was released on February 8, 2013.

Phase II

In March 2013, M-NCPPC requested the MSA to further the study to determine scope and program elements, develop a design, and to identify potential funding and operation/management strategy options for the complex.

The Phase II of the study was released October 10, 2014. Access the study at http://www.mdstad.com/lacrosse-stadium-multi-sportsfieldcomplex-101014.pdf
