John P. Hussman

John P. Hussman was appointed as a member of the Maryland Stadium Authority in 2024. He is President of Hussman Strategic Advisors, an investment advisory firm, and Director of the Hussman Foundation, which is engaged in a broad range of philanthropic projects focused on research, education, global health, and community supports for vulnerable populations having urgent needs or significant disabilities. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University, as well as a B.A. in Economics and an M.S. in Education and Social Policy from Northwestern University. 

Before founding his investment company, Dr. Hussman taught economics and international finance at the University of Michigan and the Michigan Business School. In collaboration with the Hussman Institute for Autism in Maryland and the Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami, Dr. Hussman has also authored and co-authored numerous studies in peer-reviewed scientific journals focusing on the neuroscience, genetics, and molecular biology of autism and other complex conditions.
